GIFT VOUCHER OPTIONS
DEPOSIT GIFT VOUCHER
Buy a Gift Voucher that covers the Deposit for a Photoshoot with Alison McKenny Photography and then your loved one can decide what Collection to purchase once they have seen their images. The £99 will then be deducted from the price of whichever Collection they choose.
If they would prefer to buy a piece of Wall Art instead of a collection after their photoshoot, then the £99 is not deducted from whatever product they buy, and there is a minimum order of £399.
At the end of the photoshoot, we will make an appointment for their viewing and ordering session in the following two weeks which we can do in person or via Zoom. They don’t need to decide which Collection or Products they would like to buy until this meeting and you have seen your gallery of 20 to 25 images and chosen their favourites. There is no pressure to buy any images should they decide not to.

To purchase, please choose the next available date on the diary but don’t worry, you are not committing your loved one to a specific date and time. They can decide that at a later date.

PLEASE READ
*Vouchers are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash
*Limited numbers of vouchers available
*Vouchers Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
*Printed Products available to purchase after the shoot
*Vouchers to be used on shoots within East Anglia region (Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire) although for distances in excess of 20 miles from Stoke By Clare, travel expenses may be incurred.
*Shoot time is 30 minutes for a mini session and 1.5 to 4 hours long depending on the type of shoot booked and images will be edited within 2-4 weeks subject to busy periods
*Images presented in an on line password protected gallery for mini sessions and for full sessions, they will be presented during a Zoom meeting online where I will be there to assist you in your choices of which images to buy.
*Print credit is to be used when choosing your favourite images and must match the digital images picked.
*Seasonal Mini Sessions including Christmas shoots are for up to 6 people, and not suitable for extended families.
Do you give advice on what wear for the shoot?
Most of my clients ask this question and I always say the same thing. Choose something that you are comfortable in and feel good in first of all. My preference is when clients choose something in block colours rather than those with large prints or logos as they distract the eye from your lovely faces. If you are a real print person, than wear your favourite print and get the rest of the family to wear colours that compliment your print, as that way you still have a cohesive look to your images. And if you are having an outdoor shoot, I’d recommend avoiding black as it really drains the colour from the image. Can we bring a pet?
So many of my clients ask if they can bring their family pets along to the shoot as they are very much a part of the family. I love animals especially dogs, cats and horses, and actually did a degree in Equine Studies when I was younger so am very confident in working with and photographing horses. Pets can join in on a Family Lifestyle session and if you like that more natural, unposed look and we can even try for some action shots of your pet chasing a ball or doing tricks if they enjoy that. We can take some individual photos of your pet as well as with family members, as they often have a special bond with certain members of the family.
the grandparents want to join in too, is that ok?
Absolutely! I love doing extended family photoshoots and especially as families have been separated so much due to COVID, I know a lot of my clients are keen to get photos of their parents with their grandkids, as they missed them so much. I can only offer extended family shoots for full sessions though. Mini Sessions are for immediate family only.
What happens if someone is ill or the weather is bad?
If someone is ill, I am happy to rescedule as it’s hard to look happy in photos if you feel awful!
I always have a chat on the phone with my clients a couple of days before the shoot and we always have a discussion about the weather. Using weather apps, it’s possible to get a good idea of what to expect. If the weather is bad in that it’s rainy or really windy (15mph or more), I’m happy to either change the time of the shoot to later or earlier that day, or to another day altogether. I will always offer the option of a studio shoot instead, but if outdoor photos were what you really wanted, I’m happy to reschedule. I’d rather that then having my clients hair blowing across their face in every image.
I just want Digitals! Do I have to buy Prints?
Seasonal Mini Sessions are Digitals only so you could choose that option. 3 Digitals are included or you can buy more for £50 each.
With full Sessions (1.5 hours or more) there is no pressure to buy anything at all as long as you’ve paid your deposit of £99 which covers the shoot, but if you do want photos, Digital Files are only available to purchase with a Collection. The Collections also include a Print Credit which you can spend on Mounted Prints or Wall Art or if you decide not to use your print credit, that is up to you.
Having been in this industry for 11 years now, I know a lot of my previous clients who just bought Digitals have never found the time to do anything with them, which is such a waste. When investing in a Professional Portrait Shoot, I want my clients to have photos that they can display around their homes and enjoy every single day.
As I use the best suppliers I know my clients will receive top-quality products that will last for years and years, so that future generations can also enjoy their family portraits.
