What to Expect from this year’s Mini Christmas Photoshoot?

Our Christmas Mini Sessions are designed to bring out the joy and warmth of the season while providing you with unforgettable memories. These short and sweet sessions are perfect for families with small children. During our time together, I’ll work my magic to capture the genuine smiles, the playful giggles, and the tender moments that make your family unique.

The location of the photoshoot is at my studio in Stoke By Clare, Suffolk, which is close to towns like Clare, and Haverhill, only 30 minutes from Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, and Sudbury, and 45 minutes from Cambridge, Colchester, Saffron Walden and Braintree.

Our setups have been carefully selected to add that extra touch of charm to your pictures. We can opt to use any or all of my 3 different sets, some suiting small or older children better.  But all of them are cozy, Christmas-themed sets filled with delightful decorations.

After the session, I’ll carefully curate the best images and enhance them with my creative touch. Expect heartwarming candid shots, adorable poses, and a sprinkle of holiday magic that will make these photos truly special.

What to Do with Your Christmas Photos:

Once your Christmas photos are ready, the possibilities are endless! They make for fantastic gifts to send to your friends and family, spreading joy and warmth during the holiday season. You can also create personalized holiday cards to send out to your loved ones, making your season’s greetings truly unique.

Imagine decorating your home with these cherished memories, adorning your walls with beautiful canvases or framing them in delicate ornaments. These pictures will serve as a constant reminder of the love and happiness shared during this special time of year.

Additionally, our “Christmas Mini Sessions” allow you to create custom-made Christmas gifts. From photo albums and calendars to mugs and keychains, you can surprise your loved ones with personalized presents that will warm their hearts.

What do I need to bring with me?

It’s really worth planning your outfits before you arrive.   I do have white nighties from age 2 up to age 8 and woolly rompers for age 6 to 18 mths, and some pj’s up to age 10 but you are welcome to bring your own pj’s too.

If you want to bring your own clothes,  I’d recommend sticking to a classic style to make sure they fit in well with the look of the photos. For older children, I will have snowflakes on a grey canvas set up and so for this, I’d recommend a wintry outfit like jeans, a woolly jumper, scarf and hat perhaps in white, cream, grey or blue ideally! Simple black, brown or grey winter boots would look better than colourful trainers if you can source some.  If not I can just crop feet out of this shot.

For the Christmas Kitchen photo, I think matching pj’s would look best, and this can work for all the family too, or just Christmassy outfits would be fine too if you prefer.    But do try to think about what everyone is wearing together in the image so that the clothes complement each other and aren’t clashing.   I’d avoid floral prints or large logos for sure but matching Christmassy jumpers or jeans and Checked shirts will be absolutely fine if that’s more your thing.

Other than that, for small children you might want to bring a drink or snacks to give them an energy boost if they need it.  Please avoid anything chocolate though as that melts and gets everywhere or large cookies which can take small children ages to finish and can hold up the session. So small easy-to-eat snacks like cut-up grapes or rice cakes might work better.

I will be using Christmas cookies and milk in bottles with a straw as part of the setup and plan to have one cookie for each child to eat after the shoot or take home.  If your child has any food allergies please let me know in advance and I’ll see if my Cookie maker can accommodate that but I can’t make any promises.
