I had photographed these lovely ladies before at Anna’s 70th Birthday Party and so I was thrilled when Anna said she was interested in booking a Beauty Portrait Shoot with me.   I asked her if she’d like to be photographed with anyone else and perhaps her girls would enjoy a Mother and Daughter shoot!  Anna loved that idea and got in touch with her daughters to get them on board!

The shoot itself took place at my home studio, which is in Stoke By Clare, Suffolk and only half an hour away from Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury and 45 minutes from Cambridge and Colchester.   It really was so much fun, and each one of these lovely ladies was fantastic to photograph,  following my directions, encouraging each other and I think they all really enjoyed spending some quality time together.

With Beauty Shoots, we have a bit of time together at the start choosing outfits, accessories and backdrops, then we allow an hour per person to have their hair and makeup done by our professional Hair and Makeup Artist.  Then I will photograph you in three different outfits, often starting with something casual, moving onto to something smarter (these images are often used for personal branding or corporate headshots)  and finally we move onto something more glamourous.  Sometimes it’s a rare chance for my clients to get all dressed up which they love, and they relish the escapism of the shoot, being pampered and having their hair and make up done professionally. Other times, my clients feel more comfortable in something less dressy, and as each session is tailored to you, we can do whatever you like and will discuss how you would like to be photographed in your consultation phone call or meeting.

We will do some individual shots of you and then group shots too, so if you would like to bring your Mother or Daughter, Best friend or Partner to share the experience with you, feel free.  I’m also open to bringing Husbands or children along at the end of the session for some family shots!

During Anna, Claire and Jules session, we got some gorgeous Mother and Daughter and Sister shots at the end, and I really love them!  I hope you do too and if you’d be interested in doing something similar, please get in touch! xx
