For Sadie and Derek’s Engagement shoot we met very early in the morning to make the most of the sunrise and we were lucky to get a glorious morning with lots of lovely soft light. We wandered around the city enjoying having the place pretty much to ourselves and made our way to Hotel du Vin for a fantastic breakfast and talk through their plans for the wedding. One of my favourite Engagement shoots ever and I enjoyed every minute of photographing this gorgeous pair. We all got on great and I knew that their Wedding was going to be a good one! Watch out on the Blog for their wedding photos at the Granary Estates in Newmarket, as I’ll be posting them soon.
Engagement shoots are not essential but lots of my clients enjoy doing them for a few reasons. One being that most couples have very few photos of just them. They know they’ll have lots of Wedding photos but having some of them in casual clothes is also nice to have, and finally for them to spend time with their Wedding Photographer, getting comfortable with them and being in front of the camera. I do the same sort of poses and give my clients things to do so they aren’t too aware of the camera all the time, and then it takes the pressure off the Bride and Groom session on the Wedding day as they now know what to expect and how much fun it is! Because it is fun, I promise!
Engagement shoots are included in my top package but are available to purchase separately including the shoot and all the edited images. Please get in touch if you would like to book your session with me.
