Mothers Day is fast approaching and most of us struggle to think what to give our wives and Mothers on this day to show them how much we love them.   What is the one thing that Mum’s love the most?  Their children or course, which is why they spend most of their time behind the camera capturing every moment they can of their children’s lives, but what they forget, what we ALL forget is that our children will one day want photos of us, their Mothers, and of us with them, so they can be brought back to that moment where they felt most loved and cherished, to the warmth and safety of their Mothers arms.

How do I know this?  Because almost 4 years ago I lost my Mum, and I still think of her and miss her every day.  The Mothers Day before she died we had a family photo shoot and those images are so precious to me.  Even though she was ill at the time, I just remember the laughs and fun we had, and she glowed through the whole session.  It was wonderful and every time I look at the pictures, I’m taken back there and it helps a little.

Life is short and we never know what is around the corner so whether you decide to opt for a professional shoot or not, just make sure you take lots of photos of you with your Mum, or your wife with the kids, even if she’s a little camera shy!   Just tell her it’s a gift to her children and she will not say no!
