I managed to take a few days off recently and enjoy some time out with my good friends the Aifric and Phil. I have know Aifric since I was about 4 and we started school together, and even though we went to different secondary schools and universities, we remained great friends. Her Husband Phil is such a lovely guy and actually helped me out a lot when I started out in photography, giving me hours of tutoring over the phone, especially on photoshop. He is an exceptionally talented Nature Photographer and Digital Artist and his work can be seen here: http://www.philmcdarby.com/ so check him out if you get a chance.
Anyway, it’s been years since they last came to visit (Pre children) so I was delighted when they decided to come and stay with us for a few days this summer. We did something lovely each day of their visit (so there will be more photos to come) but for starters, I wanted to share some of our photos from our trip to Bury St Edmunds, one of my favourite locations for Family days out and I love to visit here with my boys.
We had a lovely time, wandering the parks, eating ice cream, cheering the kids on in their archery lessons, having a picnic and then watching the kids having a ball in the play park. A great day had by all.
Phil actually forgot his camera this day so had fun playing with mine and took some of these images. At least I got to star in a couple of them for a change!
